The Vanguard VEO HD2 10x42 Binoculars from Vanguard Optics feature extra-low dispersion (ED) glass and BAK4 prisms that work together to virtually eliminate chromatic aberration, which produces images with true color fidelity across the entire wide 65° apparent field of view and enhanced contrast. Complementing the glass and prisms are anti-reflection fully multicoated optics that improve light transmission for bright and clear images with greater low-light performance.
An open-bridge design and carbon composite housing help to balance the binoculars and reduce weight without sacrificing strength. The open bridge also provides a large surface area to hold for increased stability. Mitsubishi rubber armor and thumb indents on the bottom of the chassis help to give protection from drops and impacts and provide a non-slip grip. Designed for durability, the housing is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed for fog and waterproof performance, and the twist-up eyecups provide a custom-fit eye relief for use with or without eyewear.

Optical Performance
High 10x power magnifies distant objects for detailed observations and identification
42mm objectives boost low-light capabilities without adding excessive bulk and weight
Compact roof prism light path ensures the optical tubes are thin to fit more comfortably in the hand
BAK4 prism glass delivers a round exit pupil and a crisp and clear image with limited edge distortion
Extra-low dispersion (ED) glass lens elements reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations for increased contrast, improved color rendition, and sharpness without distortion across the entire field of view
Phase-corrected prism coatings reduce internal interference to improve contrast, clarity, and resolution
Anti-reflection fully multicoated optical surfaces maximize light transmission to ensure views are bright and clear in all conditions
Waterproof exterior lens membrane adds scratch resistance and allows oils to be cleaned off without leaving residue
Wide field of view helps to minimize the appearance of distracting hand-shake while presenting an immersive observational experience
343-foot field of view at 1000 yards
Use and Handling
Open-bridge/dual-hinge configuration reduces weight without sacrificing strength or stability
Large slip-resistant center focusing wheel is easy to manipulate in cold or wet conditions or when wearing gloves
Locking right-eye dioptric correction enables you to achieve tack-sharp images even if your eyesight isn't perfect
Diopter locks to guard against accidental adjustment that can affect your focus
58 to 74mm interpupillary adjustment range
Twist-up rubber eyecups for comfortable use with or without eyewear
Standard 1/4"-20 socket on front of the forward bridge hinge allows binocular to be tripod mounted using an optional adapter for hands-free use to eliminate vibrations and arm fatigue
Long 19mm eye relief produces a generous eye box that improves viewing comfort and reduces eye strain
Comfortable 4.2mm exit pupil will cover most pupils as they fully dilate in low light to keep the entire scene in view without vignetting
Construction Details
Bridge design provides more surface area for hands to improve grip security
Lightweight and durable carbon composite housing reduces weight without sacrificing stability
Mitsubishi rubber exterior armor protects against bumps and impacts
Thumb indents on bottom of housing improves grip security and comfort
Nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature and environmental conditions
Tethered flip-down objective lens caps and a one-piece ocular rainguard allow for fast reaction to glassing opportunities while keeping the caps out of the way and safe
