Built with a modular design that stacks seamlessly with their other card reader models, the ANGELBird SD Dual Card Reader is made for the fast ingestion of SD, SDHC, and SDXC media, with native support for UHS-II and backward compatibility for UHS-I. It connects to your host Windows, Mac, Linux, iPad, or Android system using a USB Type-C port, which operates using the 10 Gb/s USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard. If your system doesn't support USB 3.2 Gen 2, there is backward compatibility with other USB standards. Additionally, since the USB Type-C port shares the same interface as Thunderbolt 3, this card reader is directly connected to Thunderbolt 3 ports. To further aid in system connectivity, both a 19.7" USB Type-C to Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to Type-A adapter are included.
Angelbird's SD Dual Card Reader is bus-powered, meaning it receives power directly from your system's host USB or Thunderbolt port, with no additional cables or power supplies required. The Solid Stack design allows for the modular stacking of multiple card readers, while the USB Type-C port features Solid Connect recessed connectivity, which helps to ensure stable, uninterrupted data transfers, as well as protection for your cable against wear and tear. Lastly, built-in write-protect switches on each card slot help protect the content on your SD media from being accidentally erased.
So that the SD Dual Card Reader may be used with microSD media, a microSD to SD adapter is included. Also included is a USB Type-C to Type-C cable and a USB Type-C to Type-A adapter.
Forget waiting for your files to offload. With two SDXC UHS-II ports, our SD Dual Card Reader simultaneously transfers data from two SD cards at unrestricted speeds. USB and Thunderbolt 3 compatible, Angelbird’s SD Dual Card Reader is the only reader option with individual write-protect security ensuring your files won’t accidentally get deleted or card gets reformatted.
Keep the data flowing with connection ports that are compatible with previous, current, and future standards. We know that fast-paced, on-the-go production has its challenges. Having flexible connection options ensures you’ve always got the right cord on hand.
Our Solid Connect™ recessed port offers peace of mind that your connection won’t jiggle loose or prematurely wear out.
Protect your data files from unwanted formatting or accidental file deletion with write-protect functionality per card port and ESD & overload protection.
Modularly stacks with Angelbird CFexpress and CFast card readers. Ideal for compact, mobile production and offers the peace of mind that each reader operates independently so no more multi-unit reader failures.
Angelbird provides a staff of professionals who will evaluate your issue and safely attempt a secure data-recovery in our lab. This service covers media that has encountered physical damage and/or software issues such as data or file corruption. Furthermore, Angelbird extends a non-disclosure agreement to its customers to ensure that the privacy and confidentiality of its content are also protected.
