Note: Plustek OpticFilm series scanners are currently not compatible with Windows 10/11 computers running on ARM CPU architecture such as Snapdragon X series CPU, e.g., Surface Laptop 13.8/ 15, Surface Pro, etc., or other PC/ laptops from other manufacturers running ARM CPU.
The Plustek OpticFilm series is compatible with existing X86/ X64 CPU architecture (such as those currently released by Intel and AMD) and specifically on ARM CPUs from Apple for Mac, such as the M1-M4 series CPU.
An updated driver version compatible with ARM CPUs on Windows is planned for release in May 2025 at the earliest, with completed support planned by Q3 at the latest.
The Plustek OpticFilm 135i Film Scanner allows you to simultaneously batch-scan negatives and slides of 3.5cm film using the included holders. The negative film holder supports standard 3.5cm film (with 2.4 x 3.6cm frames). Additionally, an optional Plustek panoramic film holder can be added to support panoramic 35mm film, with frame sizes such as 2.4 x 6.5cm or 2.4 x 22.6cm.
The 135i scanner performs simultaneous automatic batch scanning of four slides and six-image film strips. It features a scanning resolution range from 600 to 7200 dpi. The 7200 dpi maximum resolution allows an output of up to 69.2MP images. A built-in infrared channel detects and corrects dust and scratches on the film.
The scanner works together with the Plustek QuickScan Plus software, which is included on a disc but is also available as a free download for Windows and Mac from the Plustek website. The software works in combination with onboard buttons on the scanner. (The manufacturer has not specified whether the included disc is a CD or DVD.)
