This Ex Shop Display Nikon Z7 II Body will only elevate your images into unprecedented realism with sharp detail from corner to corner. With intuitive operation, sharp, accurate AF and dual image-processing engines, this mature evolution of the Z-mount system lets you make high-resolution 45.7-megapixel files at your own uninterrupted shooting rhythm. Even out in the harsh natural environment, you can keep exploring your creativity without worrying about your gear. Whether your subject is backlit, near or far, the Z 7II and NIKKOR Z will capture your heart with realistic subtlety and rich details you’ve never experienced before. A stunning moment that stands still forever: immerse yourself in it.
Shoot at a fast pace without losing the pivotal expressions, as the Z7II captures approximately 77 shots with a single burst and supports a continuous shooting of up to 10 fps at the setting of Continuous H+ with dual EXPEED 6 image-processing engines. The speed and reliability of the two engines, coupled with dual memory card support, experience greater processing performance with no drop rate.
On the sensor, you will find an advanced phase-detect autofocus system using 493 points covering 90% of the image area. The sensor also features 5-axis Vibration Reduction technology for stabilized photos and video regardless of the lens used. This advanced hybrid AF system will also benefit video. The Z 7 II features UHD 4K recording at up to 30p and can use the N-Log gamma profile along with the camera's 10-bit HDMI output to create cinema-quality video.
Follow your subject’s actions closely with the subject-tracking AF, similar to that of the familiar 3D tracking. Easily swap between your choice AF tracking mode without taking your eyes away from the improved electronic viewfinder (EVF), which also now automatically disables the automatic eye sensor when the monitor is tilted via the assignment of the control to the camera’s Fn buttons. Photo shoots, and even video shoots, of models posing with playful fur friends are also made easier with the Eye-Detection AF and Animal-Detection AF. Following the requests of creators, wide-area AF (L) support has also been added for both AF modes.
The Z 7 II's slimmed-down design and lighter build maintain the weather sealing and ergonomics for which Nikon is known. The camera features multiple displays and screens for ease of use, including a 0.80x 3.6m-dot EVF with NIKKOR optics and a Fluorine coating, ensuring clear viewing. The rear of the camera is equipped with a 3.2"" 2.1m-dot tilting touchscreen LCD, while the top offers a dot-matrix OLED for quickly checking settings. Additionally, the body is equipped with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Introducing the Z mount, Nikon's full-frame mirrorless system promises to deliver class-leading image quality and optics in a compact form factor. The Z mount makes much of this possible with a 17% larger inner diameter than the F mount, enabling more advanced optics and lens designs, including ultra-fast f/0.95 options. To minimize camera and lens size, the Z mount features a 65% shorter flange distance, measuring just 16mm, which allows for dramatically slimmed-down body designs. The larger mount also supports faster and larger-volume communications between the body and lens to improve overall performance throughout the system.
A 45.7MP BSI CMOS sensor is used for high-resolution shooting, impressive low-light quality, and fast readout speeds to benefit continuous shooting, movies, and time-lapse recording. The back-illuminated sensor design affords noticeably cleaner high-sensitivity output for reduced noise when working at high ISO values, up to a native ISO 25600, as well as vivid and smooth quality at sensitivities as low as ISO 64. The sensor's design also omits the conventional optical low-pass filter to achieve the sensor's greatest sharpness and resolution. Match your high-resolution images with more decisive moments. Equipped with turbo-charged Dual EXPEED 6 image-processing engines, the Z 7II realizes approx. 10-fps maximum continuous shooting for up to a whopping 77 frames. There’s now no need to hesitate: you can continuously shoot at any pace and any framing you desire to keep up with a subject’s constantly changing expressions or positions and nail the perfect frame in 45.7-megapixel high resolution. Where subtle nuances make a difference, such as in portraits or scenes involving actions, the Z 7II enriches your creativity further.
Picture your subject in high resolution, the still images flowing into motion. You can capture all of them in immersive 4K UHD video, rich in colour and detail. You can now record the scene at 4K 60p*, revealing movement with smooth cinematic eloquence.
*The actual angle of view when shooting in 3840×2160 at 60p is approx. 93% of that when [FX] is selected for an image area of 3840×2160 30p/25p/24p.
The Z 7II is also ready for high-production-value video shooting with its external video recording options. Taking advantage of a breathtaking colour depth range in 4:2:2 10-bit HDMI output*1, it now offers the Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) option, which is convenient for producing HDR videos for HLG monitors. The profile supports ITU-R BT.2100, which features the wide colour gamut of the BT.2020 standard. The N-Log option also records extremely rich gradation information, capturing up to approx. 1.07 billion colours, as well as a wide dynamic range at 12 stops and 1300%, which allows effective colour grading. Also, the camera enables 12-bit RAW video output*2 both in 4K UHD and Full HD — a feature available with high-end video cameras to offer maximum flexibility in colour adjustment.
1 Full HD/100p and 120p are not available.
2 Optional with charge. Requires shipping of the camera to Nikon
An array of 493 phase-detect autofocus points is located on the sensor, covering 90% of the image area vertically and horizontally. This provides fast and accurate focusing for both stills and video, and with a wide coverage area, subject tracking will work out near the edges of the frame. Hybrid AF is available for video, automatically switching between phase- and contrast-detect systems to provide smooth focus during shooting. Additionally, the latest NIKKOR Z lenses are optimized for silent operation.
