The Manfrotto Befree GT XPRO Aluminum Travel Tripod with 496 Center Ball Head is the first Manfrotto Travel Tripod developed for professional macro photographers. A new aluminium travel tripod that combines portability with maximum versatility enabling the most creative photographers to push their limits.

The Befree GT XPRO’s settings and controls are designed to be ergonomic, intuitive, and highly portable. It features a built-in 90°column mechanism in its top casting, which stays safely stored away until needed. Not only does this system allow the camera to be offset from the tripod’s leg position, but it also provides the simplest possible way to shoot from ground level or directly overhead. The tripod is kitted out with Manfrotto’s advanced 496 head, a portable and powerful head that combines versatility and firmness with a great load capacity (holds up to 12kg) and independent panoramic and friction knobs for full movement control. Framing with zoom lenses is now easier and faster.

The M-lock enhances Befree’s vocation as a support solution designed for rapid and secure performance on the move. It also features the unique 200PL-PRO plate, made of a high-quality aluminium body, and fully compatible with Manfrotto RC2 & Arca-Swiss type head attachments: with 2 rubber inserts that maximise grip, even on the most angled shots. The Befree GT XPRO Aluminium travel tripod is 43cm when folded and fits perfectly in its dedicated carry bag and every kind of hand luggage.

Manfrotto 496 Center Ball Head with 200PL-PRO Quick Release Plate

This Manfrotto 496 Center Ball Head features an integrated RC2 quick release cam lock and a 200PL-PRO Quick Release Plate. Compatible quick release plates can be removed from the head by pulling the cam lock's spring-loaded lever, which also allows the plate to be instantly reattached. The cam lock also features a safety catch to prevent a compatible quick release plate from accidentally disconnecting.

The 496 Center Ball Head with 200PL-PRO Quick Release Plate has a load capacity of 10 kg and can be attached to tripods or other support systems that feature a 3/8"-16 mount. By loosening the head's primary locking knob, the ball-and-socket joint can be quickly swivelled, angled, fully tilted, or returned to its upright position. A recessed dial set within that locking knob can be rotated to apply tension control to the ball-and-socket joint's movements. Along the opposite side of the ball head, a secondary locking knob controls the ability to rotate the head 360°.

Cameras or accessories that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the 200PL-PRO quick release plate, as well as 3/8"-16 threads via an included bushing adapter. The plate is also compatible with separately available tripod heads that feature an Arca-type clamp.
