This is because, in addition to its desktop tripod and handheld grip functions, it can be wrapped around objects such as branches and poles to hold a camera up. The Joby GripTight PRO 2 GorillaPod plus GripTight PRO 2 brings the all-in-one feature set and convenience of the GorillaPod to smartphone shooters. With the near-instant adjustment, convert the GripTight PRO 2 GorillaPod between a mini tripod, a straight or curved grip handle (which also functions as a selfie stick), and a versatile object mount.

The GripTight PRO 2 GorillaPod comes with a removable smartphone mount that's adjustable between landscape and portrait modes on the fly. It's also tilt-adjustable. Additionally, the phone mount features a cold shoe on top and two 1/4"-20 threaded holes on its sides for attaching a mic, light, and other accessories. Also, you can remove the shoe mount and reveal another 1/4"-20 threaded accessory hole. Adjustable between 5.6 to 9 cm, the phone mount supports most smartphones.
