The HOYA 58mm UV UX II Filter it is a general use clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light while blocking the blue haze in your photos. It is highly useful whenever you are shooting somewhere there is a lot of UV rays e.g. sunny day, high altitude and beach etc. No additional contrast or colour is added to your natural photos so you can add up additional filters without even removing it. Many photographers first choice is these UV filters so that if their lens accidently drops they would go and simply buy a new filter instead of a lens.

Initially they were used by film photographers but now everybody is using it for UV effect elimination and general lens protection.
