Engineered for a truly impressive runtime—1500 hours at the 1-lumen ultralow power setting—and capable of running on a variety of rechargeable and disposable batteries, the Nitecore MH25S 1800 Lumens Hunt Kit is a versatile lighting tool for professional, recreational, and home use. The MH25S delivers up to 1800 lumens of white light in five brightness levels, plus strobe, beacon, and SOS modes, and can be powered by the included 21700 battery, one 18650 cell, or two CR123A cells. Its output comes from a white Luminus SST-40-W LED. Power (constant-on or momentary) is controlled by the tailcap switch, while brightness level and strobe, location beacon, and SOS signal modes are controlled using an intelligent selector switch on the body. The switch remembers the last output intensity used and automatically goes to that output level the next time it is turned on, even with momentary activation. The light can be used in one of two modes: Daily, with the five brightness levels plus strobe, beacon, and SOS, and Tactical, which includes only the brightness levels and the strobe. In any mode, the MH25S delivers smooth, flicker-free light owing to non-pulse-width management design.
Built for durability, this light features an aluminum housing with a Type III hard-anodized finish that resists scratching and corrosion. It is O-ring sealed with an IP68 water-resistance rating for submersion to 2 m, IP68 and is impact resistant to 1 meter. An integrated charging port allows you to power up the battery while it is in the light for additional convenience, and a power indicator light in the mode switch keeps you apprised of the battery's status. Reverse-polarity protection circuitry prevents damage to the light's circuitry if the batteries are put in incorrectly, over-heat protection circuitry automatically steps down the output if the light gets too hot, and fins machined into the head help to dissipate heat.
