The Fujinon 16X70FMT-SX Polaris Binoculars (BP235A-1 501) to provide expansive views with exceptional light gathering capabilities for long-range terrestrial or wide-view astronomical observation. The oversized 70mm objectives are fully multi-coated to limit light loss, boost brightness, and increase color fidelity and contrast. Proprietary EBC prism coatings reduce internal light loss due to diffraction while increasing color and contrast. A powerful 16x magnification coupled with a long eye relief and a comfortably-wide exit pupil allow for detailed observation of distant subjects such as birds or animals, or comet-hunting and Lunar viewing.
The Polaris is equipped with individually-focusable eyepieces that allow precise control of each ocular so you can achieve the sharpest focus possible. Fold-down rubber eyecups form to your eye socket to block out peripheral light, which increases the brightness of the view through the binocular. To relieve user fatigue and provide vibration-free viewing, it is recommended that the Polaris be mounted on a tripod using the concealed 1/4"-20 socket located at the front of the hinge with an optional tripod adapter. To help withstand the rigors of outdoor life, the binocular chassis is made of a lightweight, durable aluminum alloy, and the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for water and fogproof performance in even the most extreme conditions. The chassis is further wrapped in a textured skin to provide a slip-resistant grip.
