Its moderate magnifying power produces a very steady image for observing distant objects, and its wide field of view – 180m at 1000m – lends itself to use at concerts, plays, and sporting events. Meanwhile, the 4x12 Mono's close focus distance of just 45cm is useful for examining flowers, insects, brushstrokes on paintings, or fine printed matter.
This monocular's compact form factor – only 6cm long and weighing just 45g, with a leather pouch and a carrying strap – make it easy to have on hand. Its housing is made of durable aluminum, it's splash resistant, and its operating temperature range is -20° to 40°.
