Di-II technology incorporates an anti-reflection design to reduce internal reflections within the camera's mirror box and reflections from light bouncing off the CCD or CMOS sensor. The internal focusing lens uses aspherical and LD elements to deliver exceptional correction across all aberrations, producing clear, sharp images. The 11-18mm has seven diaphragm blades, lens construction of 15 elements in 12 groups, 0.25 meters minimum focusing distance, and 77mm filter thread. With the Tamron 11-18mm, you will get precise autofocus and excellent performance, meeting the needs of photographers seeking creative expression.
The zoom ring on the Tamron feels smooth, and the AF/MF switch clicks into place firmly. The precise 7-blade aperture gives good Bokeh. It has one moulded element and two hybrid aspherical elements that compensate for spherical and chromatic aberrations and distortion, ensuring excellent optical performance. It has the same field of view as a 17.6mm to 28.8mm lens would on a full-frame 35mm camera.
