This near-mint Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM is a wide-angle lens with a Pancake form factor that measures less than 1" thick for an ultra-portable, versatile design. It has a macro capability of as close as 0.16m.

Recognisable for its truly thin profile and advanced autofocus motor, the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM from Canon is a 38.4mm-equivalent prime designed for APS-C-format DSLRs. Its optical design features one aspherical element, which helps to reduce distortion and spherical aberrations for high sharpness and clarity. A Super Spectra coating has also been applied to minimise lens flare and ghosting, improving contrast and colour fidelity in bright lighting conditions. Additionally, for photo and video applications, an STM stepping AF motor delivers quick, accurate, near-silent autofocus.

The short normal-length prime is designed for APS-C-format Canon EF-S-mount DSLRs and provides a 38.4mm equivalent focal length. The modestly bright f/2.8 maximum aperture helps in low light, gives control over depth of field, and keeps the overall design compact and lightweight.

One aspherical element limits distortion and spherical aberration for sharper, more accurate rendering. Individual elements are coated with Super Spectra to minimise ghosting and flare, delivering greater contrast and colour neutrality in strong lighting conditions.

An STM stepping AF motor achieves smooth, near-silent autofocus, complemented by a rear focus system, advanced AF algorithms, and a high-speed CPU for fast AF performance. Additionally, it offers a full-time manual focus override

The rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to pleasing out-of-focus quality that benefits shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques.
