One half of the filter magnifies focus for close subjects, while the other remains unaffected, allowing distant elements to stay sharp. The result is a controlled split across the image where foreground and background can exist in focus at the same time, with a natural sense of depth and separation. The Helix MagLock version requires a separately sold base plate for attachment.
