On stage, in the studio, or at home, the NEEWER NW-040 Cardioid Microphone with XLR Cable is a cost-effective solution for capturing vocal performances, podcasts, announcements, and more. It utilizes a dynamic moving coil capsule, which is less sensitive to ambient sound, sibilance, and mouth noises than condenser microphones. The unidirectional cardioid polar pattern rejects off-axis sound behind the mic, yielding reduced background noise and high gain before feedback.
The built-in on/off switch enables convenient signal control at the mic, making it easy to mute the mic between performances, sessions, and presentations without taking a trip to the mixing board. The NW-040 includes a 13' XLR microphone cable, and it is compatible with many mic clips (available separately). No phantom power is required for the NW-040 mic.
