The incredibly fast Laowa Argus 33mm f/0.95 APO - Fujifilm X Mount allows you to shoot handheld at lower light levels and boasts an Apochromatic (APO) design to correct chromatic and spherical aberrations — and is targeted at video shooters using APS-C systems as the first lens in Laowa's new ‘Argus’ line of lenses. The name Argus comes from Greek mythology and is the name of a vigilant guardian with a hundred eyes and an all-seeing sight.
This magnificent f/0.95 standard-length lens adds a ‘wow factor’ to images by the shallow depth of field and incredible optical performance - perfect for prestigious portraits, stunning low light photography, and sparkling astrophotography.
The apochromatic optical design consists of one extra-low dispersion element, one aspherical lens, and three ultra-high refraction elements to suppress both lateral and longitudinal chromatic aberration. It also features 9 circular aperture blades to produce smooth, round bokeh with no hard edges. It has a minimum focus distance of 35cm and a 62mm front filter thread.
For video applications, this dynamic manual focus lens also has a long focus throw and low focus breathing for fine focus control, plus a stepless aperture ring for smooth exposure transitions.
