The Tamron SP 24-135mm f/3.5-5.6 AD Aspherical IF Macro is a versatile, compact, lightweight, high-power zoom lens from the film era, known for its wide-angle to telephoto range (24mm to 135mm), incorporating AD glass and hybrid aspherical elements for good performance and macro capability (1:3.3 at 135mm). It is popular for travel and general photography, offering great value and a useful focal range for its price. When used on Nikon DX Series APS-C digital cameras, it provides a versatile 38-216mm range in full-frame equivalent terms.
The minimum focusing distance remains constant throughout the entire zoom range. A par-focal lens, the SP AF 24-135mm, will maintain the same focus point across focal length changes. When combined with its IF (internal Focus), it allows you to set and forget your Circular polarisers and Variable Neutral Density filter as the lens barrel doesn't rotate.
The filter size is 72mm. (Optional Clear protective filter is recommended but not included.)
