The Canon 5D range of cameras has revolutionised the Full-Frame DSLR market, producing stunning releases that appeal to enthusiasts and professionals. The 5D MK III boasts a 22.3 Megapixel Full Frame CMOS sensor and a powerful DIGIC 5 Image Processor with a standard sensitivity range of ISO 100-25,600 (expandable to 50-102,400), delivering beautiful high-resolution images even in challenging lighting conditions and incorporating a speedy six frames per second continuous shooting rate and a Full HD resolution video to the bag of tricks. The image quality of this rugged, workhorse-like body is a marked improvement over its already exceptional predecessor, particularly in low-light conditions. To maintain frame rate, video performance, and low-light capabilities, Canon has introduced a 61-point AF system with 41 cross-type points on the 5D MK III, delivering fast, smooth autofocus and excellent low-light performance.
The Canon EOS 5D Mark III features a fast continuous shooting rate and Full HD video resolution. It records Full HD 1920x1080 video at 30/25/24 fps and 1280x720 at 50/60 fps. It supports 4 GB automatic file partitioning (continuous recording time of 29 minutes 59 seconds), selectable "All i-frame" or IPB compression, embedded timecode, manual audio level control during recording, and a headphone terminal.
With a build that can handle the demands of a professional workload and the rigours of global travel, the Canon EOS 5D Mark III features a magnesium-alloy body. It is dust and moisture-resistant. The body features two card slots, one SD and one CF, so you can automatically back up your work. The camera features an intelligent viewfinder that covers approximately 100% of the frame, or you can use the large, bright 3.2-inch rear LCD screen
