This particular unit shows signs of use, including a dent on the zoom ring near the red alignment dot at 24mm, along with a visible mark in the same area. The lens still zooms through the range, though there is slight friction that does not affect its ability to reach all focal lengths. There is also light dust in the front element, which is common in lenses of this age and does not impact image quality. These cosmetic imperfections are reflected in the price, but the lens remains fully functional and capable of producing excellent results.

Optically, the 24‑105mm f/4L IS II USM delivers crisp detail and consistent performance across the frame. The improved coatings reduce ghosting and flare, while the constant f/4 aperture provides reliable exposure control throughout the zoom range. Canon’s updated IS system offers up to four stops of stabilisation, making handheld shooting smoother and more confident whether you’re capturing stills or video.

The build quality is classic Canon L‑series, robust, weather‑resistant, and designed for professional use. Despite the cosmetic wear, this lens retains the solid, reassuring feel that makes it a favourite among working photographers. It’s an ideal choice for anyone seeking a high‑quality, full‑frame zoom at a more accessible price point, without compromising on performance.

Overall, this pre‑owned EF 24‑105mm f/4L IS II USM represents excellent value for photographers who want the versatility of a premium zoom with the reliability of Canon’s professional optics. It’s a practical, dependable lens that continues to deliver outstanding results in real‑world shooting conditions..
