The Tokina atx-m 85mm f/1.8 FE for Sony E Mount is a versatile short-telephoto lens mixing a bright design and popular focal length. The f/1.8 maximum aperture suits working in difficult lighting and benefits depth of field control as well as helps to maintain a portable form factor for everyday shooting. A low dispersion element is incorporated into the optical design to reduce colour fringing and chromatic aberrations and a Super Low Reflection Multi-Coating has been applied to suppress flare for heightened contrast and colour accuracy in strong lighting. An ST-M autofocus system achieves fast and near-silent focusing performance and a nine-blade diaphragm also contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality to suit selective focus imagery.

Tokina’s exclusive Super Low Reflection Multi-coating provides natural colour and excellent contrast along with superior water, oil, and dust repellant properties.
Mechanics & Electronics
The new ST-M auto-focus motor is quiet, fast, and accurate in still and video modes and thanks to an all-metal focus unit and high-quality lubricants; manual focus is tactile, smooth and precise. The lens is internal focus to maintain its compact size.
Full compatibility with AF system
The Tokina atx-m 85mm F1.8 FE is fully compatible with Fast Hybrid AF system and all AF function settings. Fine manual focus adjustment along with Face/Eye Priority AF, Real-time Eye AF are also compatible.
MF Assist function
Accurate focusing is supported by compatibility to MF Assist function, when fine focusing adjustment is operated by manual rotation of the focusing ring with the simultaneous interlocking with image enlarging function and bar distance display on the monitor.
Optical correction
Due to the data transmittance ability via electric contacts the camera obtains necessary data from the lens chip to correct shading, distortion and lateral chromatic aberrations. Optical corrections can be done by the camera as well.
Supports 5-Axis Image Stabilization
By transmitting focal length data the Tokina atx-m 85mm F1.8 FE is able to get maximum use of In-Body 5-Axis Image Stabilization function of the camera.
