Focus drive is quiet too, making it ideal for movie shooting.

After following a moving subject in AF-C mode, the MF mode can be quickly selected via the AF/MF switch and used with focus magnification to refine and finalise focus.

The focus hold buttons can be assigned different functions for different situations. Linear Response MF ensures that the focus ring responds directly and linearly to subtle control when focusing manually. Focus ring rotation translates directly to a corresponding change in focus, so control feels immediate and precise.
