With a range spanning from ultra-wide 20mm to 60mm standard/portrait, it offers fantastic versatility for everyday or travel photography - capturing subjects from landscape to lifestyle & portrait images. At just 350 grams, the lens is lightweight, compact and easy to carry.

With stunning close-up capabilities permitting working with subjects as close as 15cm with a 0.43x magnification for near-macro performance the lens’ wide viewing angle makes it easy to shoot in confined spaces indoors - particularly well suited for product or food photography.

In terms of optics, the lens incorporates a series of aspherical, high refractive index, and low dispersion elements to control a variety of aberrations and realize a high degree of clarity and sharpness. Comprising 11 elements in 9 groups, the use of 2 aspherical lenses and 3 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lenses effectively suppresses both axial chromatic aberration and chromatic aberration of magnification. Astigmatism is also corrected with these aspherical lenses, achieving high resolving performance. Furthermore, a UHR (Ultra-High Refractive Index) lens achieves uniform image quality from the centre to edges of the image while contributing to downsizing of the lens unit. The filter diameter is 67 mm, with a 9-blade circular aperture diaphragm.

The Panasonic LUMIX S 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 Lens further adds to its credentials with a rugged dust/splash-resistant design to withstand use under harsh conditions down to a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius. In addition, a fluorine coating on the front lens element repels water and oil for easy cleaning.
