The Lastolite 86 cm Shaper for 1.8 x 2.15 m HiLite Softbox is an accessory designed to determine the form and amount of light from the softbox that illuminates the subject. Its black fabric hangs from a collapsible pole at the top of the HiLite and allows it to cover the entire length of the softbox. The use of the 86 cm wide shaper creates a narrower 1.8 x 2.15 cm light source for selective lighting. Another option is positioning the shaper in the center of the HiLite and illuminating the subject from the side as they are positioned in front of the shaper. This, in effect, allows you to light the subject from the front and back simultaneously from one light source.
