The Haida M8 84mm x 100mm Red-Diamond Medium ND0.9 Filter - 3 Stop is the latest release and is sure to be a big hit with Landscape Photographers. Just like red diamonds, “the hardest and strongest of all diamonds”, new filters have been put through a special process which makes them the strongest filters on the market today. The Haida Red Diamond Series has the famous Nano coating of the previous version but is also combined with a special process, making the glass twice as stronger as normal filter glass on the market, making the Red Diamond filters much less prone to accidental breakage.
Neutral density graduated filters (also known as ND grads) are clear in the bottom half with a gradual transition to the ND effect in the top half of the filter. They produce a grey neutral tone and are used to reduce light, enabling more control over exposure and depth of field without affecting colour or contrast.
