Note: Plustek OpticFilm series scanners are currently not compatible with Windows 10/11 computers running on ARM CPU architecture such as Snapdragon X series CPU, e.g., Surface Laptop 13.8/ 15, Surface Pro, etc., or other PC/ laptops from other manufacturers running ARM CPU.
The Plustek OpticFilm series is compatible with existing X86/ X64 CPU architecture (such as those currently released by Intel and AMD) and specifically on ARM CPUs from Apple for Mac, such as the M1-M4 series CPU.
An updated driver version compatible with ARM CPUs on Windows is planned for release in May 2025 at the earliest, with completed support planned by Q3 at the latest.
The Plustek OpticFilm 8200i Ai Film Scanner uses a high resolution 7200dpi sensor with 48-bit color depth to capture all the detail from your originals. The scanner's built-in infrared channel provides dust and scratch removal. Additionally, the included IT 8 calibration slide ensures accurate color results the first time, reducing the need for repeated scans or extensive post processing color correction.
The included SilverFast 8 works together with the scanner to improve your workflow and ensure proper results the first time. This updated version features an improved user interface and provides an advanced preview option that lets you see the results of adjustments beforehand. In addition to SilverFast, the scanner comes with Presto PageManager 7.23.
Please Note (Mac Users): The scanner's front buttons require a Plustek proprietary driver to launch shortcuts for IntelliScan & QuickScan software. This driver is not available for Mac OS as no driver is needed to use the scanner other than Silverfast Software. The physical shortcut buttons will not be operational if you use an Apple computer.
