The teleconverter is designed to maintain full electronic communication between the lens and E-mount mirrorless cameras, supporting auto-exposure metering, autofocus, and Optical SteadyShot image stabilization. Unprecedented image quality

The latest lens technology reduces focus breathing, focus shift when zooming, and axis shift when zooming. XD Linear Motors and a new aperture drive unit contribute to quiet operation. This lens even has independent control rings for focus, zoom, and iris, with a click on/off switch for the aperture ring. Sony’s Linear Response MF feature ensures responsive, direct manual focus control.
