The new high-powered BIONZ XR processing engine works in conjunction with the 61 MP Exmor R CMOS sensor and an advanced AE algorithm to detect the skin area of faces and adjust exposure accordingly for both stills and movies. This achieves consistent exposure control even in challenging shooting conditions when the subject is backlit, in shadow or over-illuminated in direct sunlight.

Compatible lenses with built-in image stabilisation combine with improved synchronisation between the body and lens to provide even more stable framing.

Creators’ App

Connect your A7CR to your smart device, control the camera and transfer images or videos. Use the app to remotely start recording videos or as a monitor to check framing and focus. Videos captured vertically will be imported in vertical format and ready for sharing on social media.
