Offering stunning image quality in a compact construction, the Sigma 40mm T1.5 Cine Lens for PL Mount /i-Technology is designed for 6K-8K shooting. This Cine lens also offers full-frame coverage and supports Cooke Optics’ /i Technology communication protocol. This technology enables the compatible cine camera to automatically record key lens data for every frame shot that can be later on used by post-production teams.
High Performance Lens
New to the FF High Speed Prime Line, the Art Prime PL mount lenses give you an image quality of a high-end prime lens. This 40mm T1.5 lens offers full-frame sensor coverage with 6-8K resolution support. All the lens in this line share a common 95mm front diameter and similar physical attributes. The lens features a 9-bladed diaphragm design that gives you pleasing bokeh effects. The focus ring is marked in meters.
Cooke /i Technology-Compatible
This /i Technology-compatible cine lens when used with a cine camera that supports the same protocol records lens’ metadata such as focus distance, focal length, and aperture. This data can be later used for post-production processes. This is ideal for VFX filmmaking that requires detailed shooting data.
Minimization of flare and ghosting
Computer-based ray tracing has been used from the design stage onward to minimize flare and ghosting for enhanced contrast in backlit conditions.

Laser engraving for enhanced durability
Information on rings and elsewhere on the lens is laser-engraved for use over the long term. Tape may be placed on gradations without any fear of stripping away paint when removed.

0.8M gear pitch
This lens is equipped with standard 0.8M pictch focus ring for use with follow focus motors and hand-units.
Linear Iris Ring
The linear iris ring gives users the same rotational angle per T-stop for direct, intuitive control.
