Designed to shift composition from direct eye-level framing to a more observational waist-level approach, it offers a more discreet and deliberate way to shoot.

Its 28mm full-frame-equivalent field of view, combined with built-in 35mm and 50mm bright frame lines, covers focal lengths commonly used in street and documentary photography. Whether used for street scenes or low-angle composition, it allows for more relaxed, deliberate framing while drawing less attention from the subject, recreating the classic top-down viewing experience associated with Hasselblad and Rolleiflex cameras.

The viewfinder features a precision 4-element optical design, paired with a Fresnel lens and multi-layer nano AR coating. With total light transmittance of up to 85% and distortion controlled within ±15%, it provides a bright, clear optical view with no visible color fringing, helping preserve the direct visual character of optical composition.

Its innovative one-touch opening hood features a magnetic design and combines the protective cover and hood in a single structure. In one quick motion, it opens with a crisp click that signals the start of shooting. In bright conditions, it helps suppress stray light interference, while during storage it protects the optical elements, balancing practicality with visual appeal.

Constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy with an anodized finish and vintage leather-style trim, it complements the materials, colors, and surface finishes of various mainstream camera bodies. Weighing only 62.0g (2.2oz), it folds neatly into the camera’s lines, serving as both a practical shooting tool and a finely crafted object.

A standard hot shoe mount with a spring-loaded structure provides secure attachment and broad compatibility with cameras from Fujifilm, Leica, Nikon, and other brands.

Key Features of the SmallRig 28mm Waist-Level External Optical Viewfinder 6127

Classic Waist-Level Viewing: Provides a 28mm full-frame-equivalent field of view with built-in 35mm and 50mm bright frame lines, making it well-suited for street photography and low-angle composition.

One-Touch Opening Hood: The integrated protective cover and hood open in a single action to start shooting instantly.

Clear Optical View: Features a precision 4-element optical design with multi-layer nano AR coating for a bright, low-distortion view.

Refined Mechanical Design: Built from aluminum alloy with vintage leather-style trim, it weighs only 62.0g (2.2oz) and blends naturally with cameras from Leica, Fujifilm, Nikon, and other brands.

Secure Hot Shoe Mount: Features a standard hot shoe mount with a spring-loaded structure for broad compatibility and secure attachment.

MPN - 6127

GTIN - 6941590034409
