Combining strength and lightness, the black Pelican 1555 Air Case - Black with TrekPak Dividers System is watertight, crushproof, dustproof, and optimized for travel. Your 1555AirTP case is made of a super-light proprietary HPX polymer, with honeycomb structural elements, which is up to 40% lighter than most other Pelican polymers. This confidence-inspiring design has been drop-tested on concrete on all sides and corners while loaded with gear. Not content with stopping there, the case has also been tested with a 12.7 kg steel dart dropped from a height of three feet.

The case has ABS double-throw latches (that accept a user-supplied padlock), a watertight O-ring gasket, an automatic purge valve, and stainless steel hasp protectors. Users will appreciate the stylish conic curve lid shape and rubber over-molded handle. And for easier case ID, there's an attractive and removable polycarbonate card holder that may be placed on the front or side of the case.

Besides being lighter, Pelican has also improved the divider system. The system is called TrekPak and uses pre-installed wall sections, divider panels, locking pins, and an easy-to-use cutting tool. Simply lay your gear in the case, measure and cut the divider sections, and lock them in place with the steel U-pins. Extra divider material is included for occasions when your equipment requirements vary. Thick 7/16" divider sections are made of waterproof closed-cell foam that is laminated to a rigid, corrugated plastic panel that resists tearing and shredding. The TrekPak is combined with 1" bottom foam and lid foam to give your gear 360-degree protection.
