The HOYA 55mm UV UX II Filter it is a general use clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light while blocking the blue haze in your photos. It is highly useful whenever you are shooting somewhere there is a lot of UV rays e.g. sunny day, high altitude and beach etc. No additional contrast or colour is added to your natural photos so you can add up additional filters without even removing it. Many photographers first choice is these UV filters so that if their lens accidently drops they would go and simply buy a new filter instead of a lens.
Initially they were used by film photographers but now everybody is using it for UV effect elimination and general lens protection. This User eXperience lens also blocks moisture and dust from reaching your lens so you don’t have to worry much about cleaning your lens too often. The HMC-WR with water repellent features provides fingerprint, oil and smudge resistance. These HMC-WR both sides 10-layred coating secures water-drop contact angle over 100 degrees which is a standard high-grade performance in terms of price and quality. This 55mm UX filter features slim aluminium-made profile frame to avoid vigneteing when attached to a super wide lens.
