Can AirTags be used to track people?
While AirTags could technically be used to track people, Apple has built in a number of safeguards to prevent this. If an unknown AirTag is travelling with someone and separated from its owner for an extended period of time, the person will receive an alert. Moreover, if the AirTag is not with its owner, it will start playing a sound after a certain period of time.
How far can AirTags track?
There is no specific range limit for AirTags as they leverage the Find My network, a network of hundreds of millions of Apple devices that can help locate lost items. However, to get a more precise location, the AirTag needs to be within Bluetooth range of an Apple device, which is generally around 100 meters without obstruction.
Are Apple AirTags waterproof?
Yes, Apple AirTags are water-resistant. They have a rating of IP67 which means they can survive being in water up to 1 meter (about 3.3 feet) for approximately 30 minutes.
