There is no specific range limit for AirTags as they leverage the Find My network, a network of hundreds of millions of Apple devices that can help locate lost items. However, to get a more precise location, the AirTag needs to be within Bluetooth range of an Apple device, which is generally around 100 meters without obstruction.

Yes, Apple AirTags are water-resistant. They have a rating of IP67 which means they can survive being in water up to 1 meter (about 3.3 feet) for approximately 30 minutes.
