Built-in Projector and Clear Phase Stereo Speakers
The HDRPJ50V features a built-in high contrast projector on the outside of the LCD panel, allowing you to project your photos and video footage anywhere, anytime. The camera can project images from 2-60 inches in size (diagonal), and combined with advanced Clear Phase stereo speakers, provides an innovative way to share your footage with your family and friends without the need for additional cables, a TV or computer.

ExmorR CMOS Sensor provides exceptional low-light performance
Experience stunning low-light sensitivity with improved image clarity and drastically reduced grain with the back-illuminated "Exmor R" sensor. Designed for compact cameras and camcorders, the "Exmor R" sensor relocates the photo diodes above the support circuitry, maximizing the light gathering area per pixel so you can shoot with better results in lower lighting conditions.

Optical Active SteadyShot with 3-way Shake Cancelling-10x more shake correction
Optical Steadyshot(Active Mode) provides powerful shake correction at wide angles, ideal for active shooters. This technology has now been further developed to provide effective control of camera roll also.Combined with this wide angle correction mechanism, providing 10x the range of movement available in conventional mechanisms, Optical Active SteadyShotnow features 2x more correction ability in Tele-mode as well.

17x Extended Zoom
The HDRPJ50V features a high-magnification 17x Extended zoom lens. Now you can shoot faraway subjects such as buildings and bridges that are difficult to capture with conventional lenses. Using Extended zoom allows you to get much closer to your shooting subject, without sacrificing overall image quality.

Built-in GPS Tagging with Touch Screen control
This Handycam features a built-in GPS receiver that allows you to use the touch screen to view your current location on the LCD map display, as well as "tag" your shooting locations. You can view your tagged videos and pictures via the Map Index function or once you've downloaded them to your PC using the built-in Picture Motion Browser (PMB) software.
