DigiDirect.com.au looking to open flagship storeTuesday, May 05, 2009

DigiDirect.com.au, Australia's premier online supplier of digital compact and slr cameras, will soon have a flagship store opening in a Sydney location, revealed the company's management.

Co-Managing Director Shant Kradjian revealed they were looking at several available locations in Sydney CBD for what will be the first shopfront venture with the DigiDirect.com.au brand.

"We are interested in only prominent locations," Kradjian said. "The store will deliver the dual benefits of providing a shopfront for our demanding client-base and a good brand promotion opportunity."

DigiDirect Online has undergone exponential growth in the last 12 months, with the economic recession far from the minds of its owners. A combination of market happenings and hot products from suppliers has contributed to this growth.

"The falling dollar has delivered us some market share from 'grey market' sellers of cameras, as all our purchasing is done from the Australian head offices of the top brands like Canon and Nikon," Kradjian added. "Also, cameras like the Canon 1Ds Mark III and the Nikon D5000 have been hot-selling items, even before their release in some cases."

Kradjian said he expects DigiDirect management to complete their search for their flagship store by the end of May 2009.
