The Pentax WG-2 camera is waterproof down to 12m, it can survive a drop of up to 2m, it's coldproof down to -10°C, it has a JIS 6 dustproof rating, and it can withstand being crushed by up to 100 kgs of force. The WG-2 also comes with a strap and a carabiner, as well as reinforced plastic and aluminum design. The Optio WG-2 camera offers a backlit 16Mp CMOS sensor that not only captures high-res, detailed stills, but also enables capture of full HD 1080p video. Helping the sensor out in the imaging department would be the wide-angle 5x internal optical zoom lens with a 28-140mm (35mm equivalent) focal range. Other highlights of the lens include the 6 embedded LEDs for even lighting of macro subjects and a hardened cover with SP coating to protect the inner lens elements

An additional tool necessary for taking great pictures is none-other than the 3.0" widescreen LCD, which sports an anti-reflecting coating for ease of use outdoors. Other beneficial functions include an ISO range of 125-6400, image stabilization for blur-free photos, multiple metering modes, and a built-in flash. Of course, the many capture modes make for uncomplicated picture-taking without the guesswork. Also, the WG-2 also tracks the location where your pictures are shot.

Other highlights of the WG-2 include the ability to shoot using manual focus. This can be a great tool for expanding your creativity - giving you the freedom to choose what is the most important part of the photo to bring attention to.
