Fujifilm X-S1 Review - The Wait Is Over

The arrival of 2012 means those who are desperate to try out the newly released Fujifilm X-S1 Superzoom can finally get their hands on it. Let’s take a look under the hood and see what the new Fujifilm X-S1 Pro can do and and why it is such great value for money.

Key Features

The X-S1 has RAW shooting, an excellent 1.44 dots electronic viewfinder as well as a 460,000 dots rear LCD. The metal dials and  rubberized coating offer it a vintage aspect that looks good, while the premium picture performance seems to really match its look. Considering this wealth of functionality it is clear that when it comes to the new ‘’’x-series’’ family member, it is the photographer who is in charge.

Hobbyists and pros alike will appreciate the abundance of features including high quality 26x optical zoom that covers 24 to 624mm (equivalent to 35mm), and the intelligent zoom that boosts a focal range even up to 1248mm. The 12 megapixel and EXR CMOS sensor will also be well received with the possibility to shoot as much as 10 frames per  second. In addition the large EVF has a viewing angle of 26 degrees and 1.44 million pixels. But thats not all.... The Fujifilm X-S1 Superzoom also offers:

Full HD video

PASM modes

RAW file format

Film stimulating modes

Optical image stabilization

Macro focusing to 1cm

360 degrees Motion panorama mode

While these key features will be welcomed by professionals and experienced enthusiasts, please be aware that a novice will need to take the time to properly understand how to maximise performance. For any questions regarding usage please contact one of our expert staff to guide you through the nuances.

When inspecting the actual performance, you will be glad to hear that the Fujifilm X S1 has maximum optical quality and versatility. What is great about this Fujifilm X S1 Compact Digital Camera is the amazing clarity it produces with truly vivid sharpness.

A key component of the Fujifilm X S1 key elements is the combination between the rear LCD and the electronic viewfinder which is extremely high quality. This synergy ensures great composition with simple and quick viewing of images. Furthermore, conditions of light will not impact on quality.

The EVF has 1.44 million pixels which guarantees that the picture’s clarity is simply stunning. Another advantage of the Fujifilm X S1 is represented by the ability to capture HD video with stereo sound when you reach 30 frames / second.

All in all the new Fujifilm X S1 gets the digiDIRECT stamp of approval with enough new features to ensure it is worthy of consideration for your next Digital Camera.
