The Elinchrom 83cm Silver Umbrella provides a crisp, directional reflected light with sharper shadows and contrast. EL-Umbrellas are delivered with a sleeve for transport and protection


Umbrellas soften, broaden, and diminish the light output of any tungsten or flash light source. Umbrellas with a white interior will soften and weaken light more than an umbrella with a silver lining. A white umbrella without a black backing may also be used as a makeshift softbox, although the use of the light will not be as efficient as with a lightbox. Choosing umbrella size is determined by the size of the subject, and the strength of the light supply being used. Choosing an umbrella surface is as subjective as choosing a paint and brush.


The Umbrella Set includes 1x Umbrella translucent & 1x Umbrella silver 83 cm with protection sleeves. Umbrellas spread the light. Silver for mid crisp shadow effects. White shoot through gives softer shadows.

- For best efficiency the Umbrella Reflector 16 cm or the Grid Reflector 18 cm are required to focus the light into the umbrella.
